Colour and Shape of Blues

What is for you, to listen a good blues?
That's a good question for blues lovers, isn't it? We can select hundreds of blues styles of playing, like in rock n' roll, blues have many ways to be played, and we surely can valorize all of them.

From B.B. King to Steve Ray Vaughan, the list of artistis is incredible and big. Today's discussion is about one of the "new generation" of blues, the singer and guitar player Joe Bonamassa.

His music is built on the 60's and 70's rock and roll, with a special and more evident touch of blues. If you ever heard a song, you know what I'm talking about. His formula is simple: Think in a band like Aerosmith, they of course have a touch of blues. That's our beginning. Now add to this formular one more touch of blues: 70's Rock and Roll + Blues² = Joe Bonamassa. Yes, we have the style of this great musician and instrumentist.

B.B. King actually recorded with Joe, and Bonamassa said that was the most incredible experience in his life. His influence walks throught: BB King himself, Eric Johnson, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters and Steve Ray Vaughan. This last one is the most notable influence, just like Eric Clapton.

Enjoy a good music today.

See you next post people.
